When the decadent world started to collapse around them, during the 1920’s, artists from Europe and North America sought refuge in the then far away unknown Bali… they were painters, musicians, filmmakers, choreographers, writers and even one sculptor…

There they found the peace and the tolerance they needed to express to the fullest their creativity… they made Bali their paradise… they called it ” The Last Paradise “.

This video focuses on Bali as it was between the two World Wars. It is about the artistic input of those foreigners who made “The Island of the Gods ” known to the West. It is also about East meeting West.
